Writing NSW’s inaugural fundraising Gala: Night of Letters

For 35 years Writing NSW has nurtured the voices of Australian Writers. Offering professional development, mentorships, prizes and a vibrant community of support.  Writing NSW held their inaugural Fundraising Gala, inviting people to support them and the important work they do. It was an honour to be the MC for the evening.

Eight brilliant local writers shared letters they’d written to the person who inspired them to become the writer they are. The audience heard from Shankari Chandran, Melina Marchetta, Richard Cooke, James Colley, Mark Mordue, Saman Shad, Michael Robotham and Jessie Tu. The letters were frank, powerful, hilarious and celebratory.
