Dervla McTiernan Literary Lunch

Dervla McTiernan kicked off her writing career with The Ruin, a powerhouse of a crime book that introduced the world to police investigator Cormac Reilly. An ordinary man, allergic to corruption, whose measured, patient and methodical ways help him to get to the bottom of crimes in Ireland.

Readers haven't heard from Cormac since The Good Turn in 2020 and now he's back in McTiernan's latest, The Unquiet Grave. Dervla spoke to me and to a sold-out room for Dymocks’ Literary Lunch about corruption (and what makes some people ignore it), entitlement, greed and how Irish culture informs policing and justice.
